Lillian Arlene Tankersley

On February 5, 2025, Arlene Tankersley, beloved mom and friend to many, passed away peacefully in her home. She was with her dear son, Thomas, who had been her caretaker for the last four years of her life.

Arlene had many hobbies including sewing, crochet, gardening and especially reading. She will be remembered for her deep faith, kindness and joy. Our hearts will be filled with many wonderful memories of her.

She is survived by her children: Michael Tankersley, Julie Addison, Thomas Tankersley, Prudence Bach; as well as seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 2020. She was a very devoted, loving mom and grandmother.

A Committal Ceremony for Arlene will be held at Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77038) on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:30 PM. This will be about a 20 to 30 minute gathering of family and close friends to say a prayer and remember Arlene as we mourn her passing.

Following the ceremony at approximately 3:00 PM, we will gather at Rudy’s BBQ (14620 Northwest Fwy Houston TX 77040). We will continue celebrating her life of 90 years as we meet to share memories we will cherish forever.
