

Linda graduated from Villa Maria High School in Brownsville, Texas. She travelled to Europe and studied at University in Surrey, England. She continued her studies in Art and Journalism at Louisiana Tech University where she met her college sweetheart Joseph G. Kemper, Jr. and maintained a loving marriage recently celebrating 30 years together.
Linda was a diamond with many facets. She had an incredible personality with a sense of humor all her own. She was a creative gourmet cook, home decorator, gardener, and artist. She thrived on the challenge of a weekend cub scout camping trip or camping with her family in Colorado. There was no prouder mother than when her son hit a home run, received Baptism and First Communion, and when he attained the Boy Scouts rank of Eagle.
Preceded in death by her mother Virginia A. Cortes (2010) and sister Debbie L. Cortes (1972). Linda is survived by her beloved husband Joseph G. Kemper, Jr., their son Joseph G. Kemper III, her father Leigh M. Cortes and her three sisters: Kerri Celene (J. Downey Bridgwater); Tammi Annette (Robert J. Holley Jr.); and Jenni Maria (Paul Granero). She is also survived by her nephews and nieces, Christopher, Catherine, Abel, and Sophie, and numerous relatives.
Wife, mother, daughter, sister, best friend, she will be immeasurably missed. Visitors are welcome to a Reception/Funeral at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5th at Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Fwy. followed by a burial service at Glenwood Cemetery.
