The story begins just under 9000 miles from here when Mark and Vansy welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. They would name her, Lisa which means “God’s Promise.” Lisa's life began with an incredible journey. Born in Laos, she escaped communism as a baby with her family, a testament to the resilience that would define her life. This early experience shaped her into a strong, compassionate woman who touched the lives of everyone she met.
She would grow up in the Aldine area, graduating from Aldine High school in 1997. Following high school, Lisa headed off to the University of Houston and received her degree in Communications.
What began as a serendipitous fix-up by friends, turned into a life changing event for Lisa. That first date would develop into a friendship and eventually into a bond of unconditional love. It would be a love that not just endure but flourish as they faced life’s many challenges and joys. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared passions.
But there were more changes to come. On May 1, 2015, David and Lisa welcomed Sophie into the family. But the changes weren’t over because on July 11, 2016, Devon joined the family. The girls were the center of her world. Her love for them was boundless, and she dedicated her life to their happiness and well-being. They remain her most cherished legacy, carrying forward the values and love she instilled in them.
Lisa will be remembered as a person of deep integrity and compassion, always putting others before herself, especially when it came to her family. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love were a beacon to all who knew her.
Though Lisa has left this world, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion that will be forever cherished.
