Loretta was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Loretta is survived by her Husband of 28 years Curtis Brooks; she leaves her daughter who she loved and adored, Megan Marie Brooks 25; a sister, Theresa Shofner and her husband Derek; a brother, Clifton Bryant; nieces, Darby Klaus and her husband Bart; Ashley Bryant and nephew Colby Bryant.
Loretta graduated from Spring Branch High School, class of 1978. Loretta went on to nursing school and became a very caring nurse. She was very active in the school community at St. Francis Episcopal Church. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader for her daughter Megan. Loretta will be greatly missed, but we know we will now have a guardian angel to watch over her family.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 27, 2015, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
