Loretta J. Harp

Loretta Jane Harp, 74, was born in Houston, Texas to parents Clifford Theodore Seiter, Jr. and Mita Catherine Brothers Seiter on January 30, 1945. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2019. She was a devoted, loving wife to Reuben Harp, Sr. for 57 years. To the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was MeMaw. Her love was fishing and a little hunting mixed in. Loretta was the "heart of the family" and the "rock to lean on."

Left to cherish her memories are husband, Reuben J. Harp, Sr.; children Reuben J. Harp, Jr. and wife Bettyann, Diane Harp and boyfriend Michael Cox; siblings: Anna Catherine Smith, Jimmy Seiter and wife Nelda, William (Bill) Seiter and wife Deanie; grandchildren: Miranda McCulloch and husband Mikey, Wayne Sowell and wife Jessica, Jessica Bryan and husband Robert; great-grandchildren: Kolton Sowell, Tate Sowell, Trinity McCulloch, Trenton McCulloch, Seth Bryan, Abree Bryan and numerous nieces and nephews.

Loretta was preceded in death by siblings Carl Seiter, David Seiter, Joe Seiter, Ted Seiter, and Donald Ray Seiter.

The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation on Wednesday, April 3, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
