Born December 3, 1932 to Clarence and Louise Lucas of New Orleans, she is preceded in death by her husbands, James Schwabenland and James Barr. Surviving are her seven children and their families: Jamie Bell, husband Danny, son Chance; Jim Schwabenland, wife Peggy, daughters Emily and Blanche; Leslie Line, children Lindsay and husband Chris; son Garrett; John Schwabenland, wife Karen, children Nathan and Mary; Greta Clark, husband John, children Katie and husband Nathan; son Kurt; Kristine Stewart, husband Jim, children Fallon and Mason; Kurt Schwabenland, wife Kristi, daughters Anna, Claire, and Sarah. She is also survived by her sister, Sue Russell, and by many nieces and nephews.
Lou’s greatest love was for her family. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren.
A service will be held Saturday, August 13 at 2 PM, in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
