

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. E. T. Zwernemann of Brenham; sisters, Bobbie DeVoke and her husband Johnny of Brenham, and Jeanette Zwernemann of Houston. She is survived by her husband, Willie J. Jordan; daughter Lisa Elliott and her husband Kenneth; son, John S. Jordan; granddaughter, Ashley Searcy and her husband Colby, all of Houston; and brother, Jim Zwernemann and his wife Bonnie, of East Haddam, Connecticut
Lucille graduated from Brenham High School in 1942. She attended Blinn College in Brenham and was employed by Tennessee Gas and Homco. She was an Avon Representative for 25 years and was a member of Avon’s Presidents Club for many years. She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas and was an active member in Pilgrim’s “Young At Heart” group.
Lucille had a zest for life! She never met a stranger and was a friend to many. She fiercely loved her family and the Lord. She will be greatly missed and remembered by all who knew her.
The funeral service is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 18th of April, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 8601 Chimney Rock Road in Houston, where Pastor Wayne Graumann is to officiate. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the nearby parish hall.
At a later time, the family will gather for a private burial at Prairie Lee Cemetery in Brenham.
