

Lalo was employed most of his career in the hospitality industry here in Houston at some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in downtown Houston. He had a passion for watching sports; he loved watching the Cowboys, Texans, and Astros. He also was a fan of watching the University of Texas and the University of Houston since his 2 oldest grandchildren attend these colleges. He cherished his family and loved spending every moment with them. He was a very caring and loving grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lugardo and Elisa Garcia.
He is survived by wife, Esperanza Garcia, daughters, Eliza Chan and husband Tom, Sarita Ann Bautista and husband Jose Antonio, Maricela Michelle Vasquez and husband John; grandchildren, Tom Chan Jr., Lisette Chan, Giselle Bautista, Sofia Bautista, Gabriella Bautista, Mia Vasquez, John Paul Vasquez, Ruby Vasquez; brother, Miro Garcia and wife Alicia; sister, Blanca Oviedo and husband Hermelando. He will be greatly missed by all his surviving family.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079 Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service is Tuesday, January 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
