Luis M. Mena "Luichy"

Luis M Mena, 20, died early Saturday morning at the scene of a fatal car accident involving a drunk driver on December 10, 2016 on I-45 North. He was born February 17, 1996 at 1:56 AM on a snowy Saturday in Raritan Bay, Perth Amboy, NJ to Marisol Fabian and Luis Mena-Canela.

Luis graduated High School in 2014 where he was a member of the Oakridge High School Choir in Conroe, Texas and where he was also on the debate team. He was currently enrolled at Lonestar Community College as a Liberal Arts major hoping to enroll in to the Art Institute of Houston. His dream was to make it big in California as a successful musician. His passion was to spread love with his guitar and his wonder voice.

Luis also known to loved ones and friends as "Luichy", "Lu", or "Luigi", is survived by both his parents Marisol and Luis; both sisters Itxelle Mena, 21, and Arianna Christyn, 3. He also leaves both maternal grandparents Juana Garcia and Benito Fabian and his paternal grandfather who lives in the Dominican Republic. He is also survived by his best friends in the Woodlands/Spring Area of Texas and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral arrangements are being held by Brookside Funeral Home-Champions in Houston, Texas. Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 14,2016 from 3PM-9PM. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 AM at the funeral home. The family are accepting flowers donations to the funeral home and donations to Luis' Gofundme page on Facebook.
