Lyle Edward Dorsey of Houston, Texas, passed away on his 81st birthday on October 13, 2017. He was born in Alton, Illinois on October 13,1936 to Ed and Virginia Dorsey. He was married to Annette Dorsey for 58 years. Lyle had a career in sales management.
He graduated from North East Louisiana State College in 1959. He attended North East on a baseball and basketball athletic scholarship. Following graduation, he signed a professional baseball contract with the New York Yankees as a pitcher.
He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Darr Hradsky and his father Edward Lawrence Dorsey.
He is survived by his wife Annette and their three children; Bobby Dorsey and wife Celisa, Ed Dorsey and wife Kristen, Le Anna Dorsey Foley and husband Mickey. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jacob Schaeffer, Noah Dorsey, Jessica Dorsey, Jake Dorsey and Sidney Dorsey. As well as his sisters Lois Becker and Michelle Douglas, brother Michael Hradsky and his loving dog Neva.
