On October 6, 1981, Rosie Montgomery Talley was blessed with a beautiful baby girl in Houston, Texas. She lovingly named her MacTrina Consha Montgomery, who throughout her childhood and adulthood came to be known as “Trina.” She received Christ at a young age and was baptized at Goodwill Baptist Church. As a youth, Trina enjoyed learning, exploring, and was a bright and shining star to many. Her pastimes later led her into exploring fashion. She was truly a young woman of many talents, and natural beauty was a passion Trina indulged in. There was no hairstyle or glam look that she couldn’t master. MacTrina was a member of Harvest Time Church, where she devoted her time and energy to serving in different ministries before her health began to decline. Trina received her education from Aldine School District, where she attended Nimitz High School before attending Lone Star College. Later in life, she retired early from MIQ Logistics, where she made lots of memories with her work family. She was known for being the breath of life in any setting.
In 2011, Rasaahn Wilkerson met the greatest love of his life, MacTrina. They enjoyed traveling and experiencing different cuisines along the way. The two started their new lives together until the end of Trina’s time. Trina and Roc were also eager to aid in raising their goddaughter Mackenzie Montgomery, and her siblings Mason, Journey, A'Layjah, and Jayden. Mackenzie meant the world to them. Each year, Trina would plan the twins, Mackenzie and Mason, a birthday party together with separate themes. The surprise enjoyment from them was priceless to her. She enjoyed seeing their happiness, which made her heart happy.
Trina had a host of special friends, best friends, and friends who turned into sisters, with too many to name. Her friends were practically inseparable throughout Trina’s life. From hanging out for lunch, brunch, dinner, vacations, to hospital trips and visits, friends turned family all played a special part through it all. For those who knew Trina, knew she moved on her own time. Last year, for her 42nd birthday, she arrived at her birthday dinner just in time for the checks, which was a good laugh for the entire table.
MacTrina was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Montgomery Talley, and father, John D. Hall. She is survived by her Grandmother Velma Daniel; sisters Candy Montgomery Holmes (Troy) and nephews Cameron and Davien (Alie), nieces DaJi, DaLiyah, great niece; Sienna Rose Montgomery, Tanita Britton (Curry), and Kadejalyn Hall, Sheila Flanagan; brothers Matthew Flanagan III (Diana), Steven Flanagan, and Marvin Flanagan; Aunts Dorothy Mosley, Sheila Montgomery, and Audrey Carter (James); Uncle Charlie Montgomery (Fran); and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 17770 Imperial Valley Dr, Houston, TX 77060.
