

He graduated with a BS and MBA from the University of Houston and held certifications as a Public Accountant and Project Management Professional. Initially employed by Deloitte Haskins and Sells, he eventually specialized in Information Technology Project Management working as a consultant and independent contractor for SWN of Houston, Exco Resources Inc. of Dallas, Williams Energy Services Inc. of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Citation Oil and Gas Inc. of Houston among others. Active in his consulting, Malcolm served on the Boards of Spaulding for Children, a United Way Organization, and the Cy-Fair Sports Association where he was responsible for developing what today is known as the Queenston Sports Complex.
He was a member of Windwood Presbyterian Church.
Malcolm is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Doris Baker and his wife of 40 years, Vickie McLain Baker. Surviving family members include brothers Mr. Milton Baker of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Ronald Baker of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and sister Dr. Janet Craig of Greenville, South Carolina along with their spouses. He leaves four children, Christa Baker Stilwell, Michael Lundy, Daniel and David Baker, two grandsons, Alex Striz and Nicholas Lee Baker, and two granddaughters, Hannah Stilwell and Andie Rae Stilwell. In addition, he leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews, and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss his candidness, sense of humor, passionate conversations, family activities and vacations and loving nature.
