(Cont) I tried bro.. and I hope I made you proud. So on the first day, we drank, we laughed and cried and cried and cried right.. On the day of your graveside service we laid you to rest right next to grandma and jr got you mariachis!!! I know you loved that! It was all so beautiful. I just didn’t understand it still and I felt like I was floating watching everyone. Not like I was there, experiencing it. I watched everyone comfort mom and Robert, they were still being so strong. You’d be proud. 🥹 

We headed back to moms and that’s when the party started! Everyone showed up to grub like we’ve never grubbed before! I COULD HEAR YOU SAYING “OH ITS GOING DOWN!” We laughed, drank, breakdanced, drank some more and toasted to you all night. It was beautiful. 

I wish you would have had this kind of party while you were still here. But either way, you were present for this and you had the time of your life. I promise to never stop including you in our celebrations and in our fun. I’ll continue talking to you everyday and I promise I’ll teach TJ about you too. I love you forever and ever and ever. Hey bro! I’m back.. I haven’t stopped thinking about you. I guess that won’t change anytime soon. I wanted to share how your celebration of life went in my perspective.. for one, everything was so beautiful. The flowers, the casket, the memory table.. everything. 

So many people came out to see you and pay their respects. I know you were there with us because I could hear your voice. I could feel your presence. Mom was so strong, she held it together in a way I will never forget. I hesitated to go up there at first and see you because I didn’t want it to be true.. I cried every single second but I tried to be strong too. Robert is broken, he won’t ever get over this. After I saw you, I then kept wanting to see you. I kept wanting to touch you and just be near you. Even though I know that was just your body.. I felt close to you. So I took every opportunity to go up there. As time went on we added more and more stuff to your casket.. ramen, taaka, a sack, a rosary, Loks, a watch, roses..  You looked fly bro! I also didn’t want to leave. I wanted to stay there with you all night. 

The next morning I was up at 6am, ready to come see you again. First we had to make a pit stop to get Robert a shirt because we all know he procrastinated. 😏 then we headed to you. Heather and Isabella arrived just as Tre and I did.. we were the second people there, next to Eva and Big Marc. (They’re early birds) I immediately went in again to see you just to make sure you were still there. I felt like I couldn’t get enough time with you. I just couldn’t. Then I noticed Priscilla and Alejandro arrive. My heart sank because I realized this would be their first time seeing you. We wanted to give them time alone with you. We said our final goodbyes and I couldn’t do it. I just couldn’t. Tre was next to me the entire time and he gave me so much comfort. Heather was always nearby for me to lean on and Robert was too. This is how I will remember you, my baby boy, big, beautiful eyes and a silly smile. Yesterday was heart wrenching for me. I walked around like I was numb, but yet grateful for the family and the friends and all the love that was given to me and to your sisters and brothers and pops. This will never say or be goodbye. It’s always going to be. SEE YOU LATER.,, we layed you to rest in heavenly peace next to grandma your second mom and at times your first mom because while I worked to make sure we had food and clothing, she took care of you along with help from others you will be missed every second of every day for the rest of my life. Hearing the news was heartbreaking 💔 & unbelievable, as mentioned previously… I was still holding on to a small hope 🥹. Then your mom txt and confirmed and I couldn’t and didn’t want to accept it. The day approached, I was happy knowing I’d get to see you. The drive seemed so short but as I glanced at the gps, the arrival time kept getting shorter and shorter, but yet felt so long. My heart began to race, my stomach began to ache, I was getting nervous. As I was down a couple of blocks my foot got heavier and heavier. Heavier to pick up to continue pushing the gas pedal, but I knew we had to get there. I wondered if this would have been the same feeling to getting to your wedding or to visiting you with my kids for the first time. A million thoughts came to mind as I walked in. Walking in I was a bit lost, I was at the right spot but my mind was still trying to catch up, as if it didn’t want to sync with me. I then saw Julia and welcomed us with a big warm hug. She pointed us out to what we were in front of, your memory table. Looking at your items, she grabbed your album & said “this was his photo album, which he carried everywhere”. As I looked through it, I found people’s pictures of whom you held close to your heart. That was all you brother! One that I will keep present is a drawing I saw. I don’t know if you drew it, but it’s a drawing of a clown. A sad clown… see often clowns hide behind a mask. You don’t know whether the person behind it, is happy or sad. Regardless, they still have to put on a happy face and go on with the show. You always wore your smiling face! This will symbolize you, thank you for being that strong brother. Everything was perfect! You looked so handsome and at peace. Like your mom mentioned, I know you were there, I felt you and I know you’re happy we all came together. Your family welcomed us with open arms & it fills my heart with so much joy to see you were and still are very well loved! Pt1

I'm sorry that I prolonged this, I was holding on to hope... (still am to be honest) I'm waiting to wake up from this that we call "Life" and be told that I have an opportunity to change it! 

Unfortunately, it's not... very fortunate are those who have and hold many memories of you. Me on the other hand, I have very few... While growing up and being asked how many brothers I had, I felt like I had the coolest brother when mentioning you, (I DO have the coolest brother) I mean, not just anyone had a brother that lived in H-Town. You made me feel like a cool kid. =) From visits, to going to the movie theater with "Pops" as you would call him, to having you home from time to time. I know you didn't enjoy Fort Worth much, I could see it, but you made the best out of it! I remember the last visit you made here. I arrived with my friend Mayra to pick you up at the Greyhound bus station in a compact white convertible top Eclipse. Your face was priceless... It said it all! If you know, you know... (I mean can you imagine a big guy in this little bitty car) But hey! You fit, AND we cruised home with the convertible top down. You visited my home, met my husband and said, "I'm proud of you sis". Our looks say a million words and I felt that. I also remember how you would look at Michael (my husband) the overprotective look just observing and said, "He's a good man". You cared about us, you always did! I still hold on to our letters, you had plans! You said you were tired of this, that you wanted to go to MX and live with Dad and make up for lost time. You were hoping to meet a good Woman of God and build a life, didn't matter if or without kids. It wasn't supposed to end like this! We still needed more time, you wanted to personally meet my babies, you said you'd come visit- I'm still waiting...  (Part 1

There are so many memories, especially one when was about 8 yrs old. 
Isabel while at work I was babysitting Marc and he was hungry threw at my feet a box of Fideo lol. I'll never forget.

Though your time was brief with us will always remember your beautiful smile.

Oh yes and remember Jacob thought you how to fold a bandana and put back pocket.

Always thought everything was a competition u would beat me to the chips , soda , bread , movies , shows . Then u would go inside my closet and take my clothes and tell me I just got robbed. I feel like I shouldn’t be limited to one memory, so here I am again bro. 

Reading all of the memories and I can’t even see. One thing that rings true is that you were so protective of your family. We all can think of a time you protected us, told us how much you loved us or even just said something we needed to hear. Your love for us was endless and deep. 

Do you remember when you took me down to Mr songs, grabbed me a .25 cent bag of hot Cheetos and had me song pour some of his jar pickle juice in my bag.. then you said “okay look sis, now you shake it like this and you pour it out on the grass..” - I still till this day do this. Or what about when you used to bust all them spreads, I’m so sick of ramen noodles. What about when I walked home from school at age 5, and you were there to grab my backpack and tell me to not do that nomore. What about when you accidentally knocked over the hot grease in the frier and it landed on me,  I didn’t even cry.. but you got in trouble. :D You used to say I was so smart, I could do whatever I wanted because I was smart. You were so proud of me. 

Little did you know; I’ was proud of you. I was always looking up to you. I wanted my big brother. Now I’ll get to have you with me everywhere I go.

My heart breaks for seeing our family broken after losing you. Although i never got the chance to meet you i heard so much about you and how much you were loved by our family , all the memories robert has shown me makes me miss the fact that i never got the chance to experience that with yall. I remember when I met you for the first time,  I pick you up at grandmas house, I pick you and julia, heading home you ask me a question, you ask me  to take care your mom, 
She’s been through a lot, she deserves to be happy. I remember I stopped the car and turn around and look at you and let you know that I will take care of your mom and take care Julia and you if you allowed me to. I always remember that question that you want to make sure your little sister and your mom were good. That’s the type of person you were, you always worry about your loved ones.  always worry about your loved ones. Couple of years later, you find out that  you have a little brother I remember the first time I saw you hugging your little brother Robert I started crying. I can see the love you had for him. The happiness you were when you met your little brother.  One thing for sure you never disrespect me. You were always kind and respectful. I even got the name pops from you. That was very special to me., Thank you  for that., I can go on and on of how much you love your family and how much you protected them you were one of a kind. I will miss you, Marc,  Love Pops!

I remember the picture you were in on Thanksgiving at my tias like yesterday, feels that way at least. You told me I was real for taking my sisters in and taking care of them. You even apologized on my mom’s behalf but even the way you said it made me proud that you saw the hard work I was doing. Till we see you again, hold every family member tight and see them through.

Dear lil marc.
I really don't know much to say on writing I'm more of a talker than I am a writer.
I wanted to say that I'm going to miss you in I wish u never died.
You always looked out for me you always make sure that I didn't die or got in trouble with my mom are the cops.
When I was a kid you saved my life from drowning at the pool over there in Memorial Park in Houston when tio Hector and tio gabby took us to go swimming.
And the only reason why I remember that out of all those years was because out of all those people that didn't do nothing you were the only one that went there to save me.
And I was always thankful for it everyday even to this day I always sometimes remind you about it.
I know sometimes me and you will argue and fight.
I remember the time you and me almost got into it until Josh came between us and stopped the fight.
 week later your mom called me saying that you needed a place to stay I could have been a jerk and said no but I said yes I guess I had more love for you than hate in my heart for you.
No matter what in the end of the day you always looked out for me even though you could have looked out for yourself you looked out for me.
Either though you are my older cousin I still think of you as my older brother.

We had started our journey together alone I was having a rough day you came to me and with your tiny face you looked at me and you told me. IT’S OK, MOMMY WE’RE GONNA BE OK,, I pray that the love I have for you my son goes with you to heaven know that my heart will never be the same. I will miss you to the depths of my soul, and I pray that you know how much you were loved from the time you where born ,and you will be truly missed. I had you for a short 44 years. I thank God for giving me the honor of being your mother I wish it would’ve been a lot longer. I promise you to try to be strong and keep going my heart will never be the same not one day has gone by that I didn’t think of you.
