BIOGRAPHY OF MARGARET OJONG ARREY

Margaret Ojong Arrey, went home to be with the Lord on Friday 4th, August 2023 in Houston, Texas, U.S.A. Though we have heavy hearts, we find solace in knowing that she is in a better place.

Margaret Ojong Arrey “Mami Nkongho” was born in Ogomoko, Mamfe, in the South-West Region of the Republic of Cameroon to the parents Mr. Emmanuel Ojongapa and Christina Ojong on the January 1st, 1946. She married John Ebot Arrey in Muyuka. She worked as a farmer for John Arrey’s Estate for most of her life. Mami Nkongho is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Arrey, and her granddaughter, Arrey Alexia Oyere.

Mami Nkongho leaves behind the following:

● Children: Judge Florence-Rita Ebot Arrey, Mr. Nkongho Charles Arrey (Cameroon), Ms. Clara Eyongsok Arrey (USA), Ms. Cecilia Manso Ebot Arrey (USA), Mr. Ebot Maurice Arrey (Nigeria), and Mr. Arrey Royce Ayuk (Cameroon).

● Grandchildren: Mrs. Solange Esso-Baumann (USA), Ashu Laurence Esso (USA), Dr. Eng. Besong John Ebot (Japan), Dr. Gina Ebangha Arrey-Diallo (USA), John-Ferdinand Ebot (USA), Oben Christina Eyong (Cameroon), Mrs. Manso Arrey Demaris Elad (Cameroon), Oben Elvis (Cameroon), Ms. Arrey Solange(Cameroon), Margaret-Gift Arrey (Cameroon), Clara Eyongsok Arrey (Cameroon), Florence Rita Arrey (Cameroon), Ariel Arrey (Cameroon), Etengene Loyce Arrey (Cameroon), Oneke Arrey Minora (USA), Charles Nkongho Arrey Jr. (Cameroon), Ashu Arrey (Cameroon).

● Siblings: Mrs. Mary Ayukegba (Cameroon), Mr. Emmanuel Ojong (USA), Mrs. Ida Ateh (Cameroon), Mrs. Awo Susana (Germany) and Ms. Martina Ojong (Cameroon)

● Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, Relatives, Friends, Loved Ones and a Multitude of Adopted Children, Grandchildren and Great grandchildren, to mourn her.

There’s nothing Mami Margaret enjoyed more than a gathering of the people she loved most, so we are hosting a celebration of life in her loving memory. Please join us to celebrate her wonderful life at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Houston, Texas on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 and in Limbe Cameroon on Friday and Saturday September 29th and 30th 2023. Finally, the Arrey and Ojong family wishes to share a moment of appreciation to everyone who came far and near to celebrate her life.
