

She was born on the 26th of August 1930 to Elizabeth and Allen Lynch, in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Shortly after graduation, Margaret moved to Houston & married James Thomas Bond. Margaret and Jim were married for 52 years, until his passing in 2007.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth & Allen Lynch, her husband, Jim Bond; and her brother, Dennis Lynch. She is survived by her sister, Kae Thomas of Fullerton, California; her four daughters, Karen Mayell and son-in-law Mike of Houston; Susie Ponder and son-in-law Tom of Greeley, Colorado; Kathy Grainger, and son-in-law Bill of Nashville, Tennessee; and Ann Bond of Aspen, Colorado. Five granddaughters also survive Margaret, Katy, Kirsten, and Kelcy Mayell, and Elizabeth and Anna Grainger. Margaret was a loving wife, a great mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed by all of us.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 8th of November, in the drawing room of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 9th of November, at Bethel Church, 825 Bering Drive in Houston, where Dr. Dwain Camp, Interim Pastor, is to officiate.
Prior to the service, the family will have gathered for a private interment at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
