Margaret Burleson

Margaret Helen Owens Burleson, 84, of Tyler Texas passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, Texas on Wednesday August 5th, 2015 from 5:00-8:00pm. A graveside service will be held at Liberty Hill Memorial Gardens in Tyler, Texas on Thursday August 6th, 2015 at 2:00pm with Rev. Dr. Jack Albright officiating. Margaret was born in Tyler, Texas on December 20, 1930 to Henry and Olivia Owens. She attended schools in Tyler and Fort Worth, Texas. Margaret married H.D. Burleson on April 29, 1950. They enjoyed over 43 years of marriage and raised their three sons in Houston, Texas. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband H.D. Burleson, her parents Henry and Olivia Owens, and her brother Horace Owens. She is survived by her three sons and daughter-in-laws, Ron and Maggie Burleson, Larry and Charla Burleson, Terry Burleson and Shelley Gates. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Carlton Burleson, Charisse Biondo, Daniel Burleson, Chevonne Potter, Chelsea Ellisor and T.J. Burleson and 9 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to acknowledge the compassionate care provided by Rose of Texas Hospice.
