It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Margaret G. Castro on March 20, 2025. Beloved wife of Alcides M. Castro, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, sister in-law, cherished friend, and devoted community member, mom touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. Born on June 10th, 1942, in Edinburg, Texas, she studied in Edinburg and worked as a financial clerk for the Houston Independent School District for more than 40 years until she retired.Margaret was the embodiment of warmth and compassion. She dedicated her life to her family, nurturing and guiding them with wisdom and grace. She was known for her love of reading, dancing, and gift for gab, she loved art, and her contribution to her loved ones and always taking care of her family, she made a huge impact on her children and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Margaret demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience. Her legacy is carried on by her loving children, Norma L. Delgado and Dennis A. Castro, her dear grandchildren, Marqus Parra, Carlos Parra, Lauren Gonzales, Chloe Nolasco, Crystal Ruiz and Christy Castro. She was preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia Ann Ruiz, Betty Castro and granddaughter Julie Delagarza, and countless friends and relatives who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation for Margaret Castro will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. During the visitation, a rosary will be held at 6:00 PM and after the rosary, friends and family can gather to pay their respects with the family. Refreshments and pastries will be available Friday during the visitation period. A funeral service and mass will occur Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 215 E 10th Street, Houston, TX 77008. Proceeding the mass, we will have lunch available in the All Saints Hall, which is located right behind the church. We look forward to celebrating her life and spirit. We will forever treasure the moments we shared with mom. Her spirit will continue to live on in our hearts and in the beautiful memories we hold dear.
Rest in peace, Margaret G. Castro. You will be deeply missed and eternally loved.
