Maria Teresa Arriaga

Maria Teresa (Terry) Arriaga, age 71, of Houston, Texas gained her angel wings on Saturday, January 21, 2023. She was a beautiful, loving, caring, and courageous woman born on July 16, 1951. Daughter of Jose and Ramona (Molina) Gracia and fourth of seven children she grew up in a home full of love and great memories. Terry had an infectious smile and laugh that could light up any room. She was a selfless mom who made sure to always put her family first. She had an unshakable faith in God that always kept her positive and strong. She had a heart of gold and was always the person you could call and count on. She enjoyed word search puzzles, spending time with her family, especially taking mini family trips. She would always be present cheering her grandchildren at their events. She would spend time on Sunday's with her brothers and sisters listening to Tejano music. In God’s infinite wisdom, He decided to have Terry with Him leaving those she loved to remember and honor her valuable lessons. She is survived by a large and loving family: Her beloved daughters Maria Apodaca (Alexander), Patricia Rivera (Juan), Tina Villazana (Brent), Angela Castro (Antonio); grandchildren: Mariah Ann, Alyssa Rene, Brandon Lee, Andrew Jose, Erin Alexia, Antonio Xavier, Ian Alexander, Nathan Dylan, Juan Alvaro, Alejandro Jose, Pedro Manuel, Priscilla Ann, Blake Hunter; great grandchild: Cruz Alberto; sisters: Maria Canales (Senobio), Martha Chavarria brothers: Jose Gracia, Noe Gracia (Fela), Richard Gracia (Rosalinda) and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Ramona Gracia, sister Mary Macias and son Jesus Arriaga. Pallbearers: Ian Apodaca, Andrew Castro, Antonio Castro, Juan Rivera, Brandon Villazana, and Nathan Villazana. Honorary Pallbearers: Alejandro Castro, Pedro Rivera and Blake Viator.
