She has lots of extended querida familia throughout Mexico and the United States.
Dolores was born in Tampico, Mexico, May 17, 1936. Her father was Wilfred Gordon Eggleton and her mother Dolores Lacavex Coca. Dolores met her husband James in Maracaibo, Venezuela and were married in Tampico, Mexico March 6, 1954. As her husband worked with Exxon, they lived in many countries throughout the world; including many cities in Venezuela, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Santiago, Chile and Houston, Texas. Their worldly vacation travels took them to Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Brazil, England, Spain, Germany, Italy, Thailand, Singapore & Hong Kong. It was an exciting, wonderful life with many long lasting friendships formed. She was always part of the welcoming committee helping new expats feel at home in their new communities. Dolores and Jim finally settled in Katy, Texas.
Although Mexico is always near and dear to her heart, with many treasured memories of her youth with her 4 brothers Wilfred, Eduardo, Arturo & Ramon (all deceased)…Included in her happiest of moments was when she proudly became an American. She felt such pride, commitment and love for the United States of America, her country of choice.
Dolores loved cooking. Inspired by her many travels, she enjoyed preparing many different cuisines much to the pleasure and enjoyment of her family and friends.
She loved entertaining, frequently bringing together family and friends, making happy memories. Her casa was your casa. She was the embodiment of Love. If God has saints walking among us, she was one of them.
We appreciate the loving care and respectful attention she received from AGAPE ACS facility during her final months.
