Maria Melania Flores

Maria Melania Flores, born on December 31, 1935, in Puebla, Mexico, passed peacefully into eternal life on February 10, 2026, at the age of 90. She was a resident of Houston, Texas, at the time of her passing. Maria lived a life filled with love and dedication to her family and community.

Maria was a strong and faithful individual who was beloved by all who knew her. Maria faithfully served many callings in the Catholic Church. She gave her service as a catechist and worked diligently in the ministry of the Legion of Mary for many years, serving Jesus through Mary. Her compassion and guidance touched many lives. Her devotion reflected her deep desire to serve her Heavenly Father and those around her.

She is survived by her children Antonio, Julia, Gregorio, Irene, Juana, Artemio and Angelica.

A visitation will be held at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 7010 Chetwood, Houston, TX 77081, on February 19, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Mass will be celebrated at St Justin Martyr Catholic Community, 13350 Ashford Point Dr, Houston, TX 77082, on February 20, 2026, starting at 1:30 pm.

Following the Mass, a graveside service will take place at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077, on February 20, 2026, at 3:00 pm.

María Melania Flores, nacida el 31 de diciembre de 1935 en Puebla, México, falleció pacíficamente el 10 de febrero de 2026, a la edad de 90 años. Residía en Houston, Texas, al momento de su fallecimiento. Vivió una vida llena de amor y dedicación a su familia y comunidad.

María fue una persona fuerte y fiel, querida por todos los que la conocieron. Sirvió fielmente en diversos llamamientos de la Iglesia Católica. Prestó servicio como catequista y trabajó diligentemente en el ministerio de la Legión de María durante muchos años, sirviendo a Jesús a través de María. Su compasión y guía impactaron muchas vidas. Su devoción reflejó su profundo deseo de servir a su Padre Celestial y a quienes la rodeaban.

Le sobreviven sus hijos Antonio, Julia, Gregorio, Irene, Juana, Artemio y Angélica.

Se llevará a cabo una visita en Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, ubicado en 7010 Chetwood, Houston, TX 77081, el 19 de febrero de 2026, de 4:00 pm a 8:00 pm.

Se celebrará una misa en la Comunidad Católica St Justin Martyr, 13350 Ashford Point Dr, Houston, TX 77082, el 20 de febrero de 2026, comenzando a la 1:30 pm.

Después de la misa, se llevará a cabo un servicio en el cementerio Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077, el 20 de febrero de 2026, a las 3:00 pm.
