Maggie peacefully passed away in her loving home on the morning of March 3, 2026 alongside her family, after a 5 year battle with Cancer.
Maggie was born in Monterrey, Mexico on June 1, 1954 to Francisco and Magdalena Villarreal. She was 1 of 5 children: Frank, Martha, Maggie, Joel and Verenice. Her family relocated to Chicago, Illinois when she was 2 years old and stayed there till she was 14 years old. In Chicago, she attended Blessed Agnes Catholic School and was influenced by the Nuns who taught her to be who she was. She attended Camacho Gomez Business College in Mexico and later applied her business skills to a career she would have for 47 years. 19 of those years spent in Houston Independent School District where she would retire from in March 2018.
David and Maggie met as adolescents in 1969 and reunited in 1978 in Houston, TX. At this time she had found her soulmate and they started dating for two years before getting married, having remained married for 46 years at her passing. They would raise three wonderful children together in their Bellaire home that they have been in for over 30 years: David Alejandro, Damian, and Angelina. Each child having met their soulmate as well: Audrey (David), Sara (Damian) and Cory (Angelina).
Maggie and David enjoyed many of the same pastimes, spending time with extended family and traveling around the world to countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany, and many more destinations. They especially enjoyed spending time with their six beautiful grandchildren: David Joseph (DJ, Claire, Alex, Charlie, Vivian, and Valerie. One of their biggest joys was hosting Christmas Dinner at their house where Maggie would read "The Night Before Christmas" aloud for all to hear dressed as Mrs. Clause and not too long after Santa (David) would appear from a custom built chimney.
Maggie was a devoted Catholic who believed in the power of God, even in her final moments of life. She will be missed because of her kindness and will never be forgotten.
