Maria Garza Herrera

MARIA GARZA HERRERA, born in Waelder, Texas on September 22, 1916, passed away on November 15, 2010 at her home in Houston, Texas at the age of 94. A wife and loving mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Narcizo Herrera.

Maria is survived by her 5 children: Sons: Narcisso Herrera and wife Gloria, Juan Herrera and wife Belinda, and Jessie Herrera and wife Susana. Daughters: Alicia Gutierrez and husband Juan and Virginia Herrera.

Grandchildren: Johnny, Alex Sr., Narcizo, Michael, Melissa, Joe, Terri, Lydia, Lindsey, Jessie Jr. and Jason.

Great Grandchildren: Marcy, Amanda, Alex Jr., Allissa, Sammy, Ian, Emily Rose, Amber, Anthony, Lilly, Benjamin, Rex, Celeste, Joe Jr., Xavier and Damian.

Great-great grandchild due in May 2011.

Her sister: Bruna Luna and Brothers: Serafin and Natividad Garza.

Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A Visitation for family and friends will held on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Forest Park Westheimer.

A Catholic Mass will be held Saturday, November 20, 2011 at 11:30am at St Rafael The Archangel Catholic Church, 3915 Ocee Street, Houston, TX 77063 with Father Jaime C Arrambide officiating.

Interment will follow the service at 1:30pm and take place at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Ave., Houston, TX 77023.

Pallbearers are grandsons: Jessie Jr., Alex Jr, Joe, Johnny, Narcizo, Jason, Alex Sr. and Michael.
