Maria Luz Perez

Maria was born in Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas Mexico and worked at Primrose School for 16 years. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, friend, mother-in-law, grandma and most importantly a mother. She was the most kind and most giving soul. Everyone that had the privilege to know her knew how loving and special she was. Her smile and warmth would light up any room she walked into. She was the light of our life.

Maria loved to have her coffee in the mornings and always had to have something sweet with it. Her children and grandchildren were her biggest blessings. She loved to dance, watch scary movies, and spend time with her family and pets. She was loved by so many people and her memory will live with us forever. We love you and miss you so much already.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Evangelina Perez.

Maria is survived by her husband, Edmundo Pérez; children and their spouses, Eva Garcia (Chris Garcia), Alex Sada (Jessica Sada), Edgar Sada (Blakely Sada), Edmundo Perez (Anastasia Danawi), Esmeralda Pérez Rubin (Marcel Rubin); grandchildren, Anthony Garcia, Andy Garcia, Jasmine Garcia, Ashley Medina Garcia, Finn Sada, Fallon Sada, Milo Sada, Dane Sada, Esti Sada, Simon Sada, and Sophia Sada; great grandchildren, Analiah Garcia, Ayden Garcia, and Alanni Garcia; and siblings, Rosa Rivas, and Arcadio Díaz.

A visitation for Maria will be held Monday, July 29, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Monday, July 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
