Marianne M. Anderson

Marianne Miller Anderson of Richmond, Texas passed away on July 4th, 2025 at the age of 85. She was born on September 20th, 1939 in San Marcos, Texas later living in the Dallas area and finally the Houston area.

She graduated from Bellaire High School in 1958 and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University – Waco, Texas in 1962. She attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky from 1965-1967 and continued her education earning a Masters Degree in Nursing from University of Washington in Seattle, 1968.

She was faculty member of the Nursing School at Houston Baptist University (now known as Houston Christian University. They were actively involved in Sugar Land Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the Senior Choir at Calvary Baptist Church, Rosenberg, TX.

Marianne was preceded in death by her parents, Thurston Milton Miller and Anna May Carson Miller and her brother Thomas Abernathy Miller. She is survived by her husband Marion Murchinson Anderson, her sister -in-law Nancy Stalder Miller and niece Teresa Anne Wilson, (Philip Gregory Wilson) and Great Nephews Michael Chase Wilson and Taylor Gregory Wilson.

The family would like to thank Donna Solomon, RN and the hospice team for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a service at Forest Park Westheimer Tuesday, July 15th from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM in the Serenity Room at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Interment to follow at a later date and time at Grapeland City Cemetery.
