Marie Cecilia Hartsough

Marie Hartsough peacefully departed this earth on Thursday, July 25th, at the age of 89. Born on September 11, 1934, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Anthony John Mascione and Marie Florence Gadola, Marie led a life marked by compassion, dedication, and love.

She pursued her passion for helping others by studying nursing at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, where she earned her Registered Nursing degree. Throughout her career, Marie practiced at various hospitals in the Philadelphia area, leaving a lasting impact on countless patients and colleagues with her skill and kindness.

Marie found the love of her life when she met Bob, her devoted husband of 44 years. Together, they built a beautiful life in Houston, Texas, focusing on their careers, nurturing their family, and cultivating deep friendships. Marie's joy was evident in her love for gathering with friends, her passion for gardening, and the many cherished trips to Las Vegas with Bob.

Marie’s greatest pride and joy were her family. Marie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Hartsough; her parents, Anthony and Marie Mascione; her brother, Anthony Mascione; and her grandson, Ryan Neagli. She is survived by her children, Cathleen Neagli and Robert Hartsough, who will forever cherish the love and wisdom she imparted. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Robert and Alex Neagli, Taylor Kalen, Kaitlyn and Luke Padgett, Cameron Neagli, Connor and Clara Neagli, Rhys Hartsough, Casey Hartsough, Drew Hartsough, and Sam Hartsough. Marie also leaves behind her eleven adored great-grandchildren, Reed and Nora Neagli, Carter, Ryan, and Charlotte Kalen, Hazel, Hadley, and Austin Padgett, Collins, Rhodes, and Brooks Neagli, each a testament to the enduring love she nurtured within her family.

Marie will be laid to rest on July 30th at 2:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery in Houston, Texas. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all the family members, friends, and caregivers at Autumn Oaks of Corinth Assisted Living Facility who enriched Marie’s life with their love and support.

Marie Hartsough leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever live in the hearts of all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
