A local humanitarian, Mariel carried an altruistic heart. Humbly, she worked as a Children's Advocate of Fort Bend County, TX, for nine years.
Mariel loved to help those in need, children and adults alike. As a mother, she coached her children's local soccer team. Often, she involved herself in volunteer programs among the community. On Sundays, her and her family attended the River Point Church.
Mariel will be survived by her children, Julian, and Sebastian, her husband, John, her father, David. As well as her sisters, Gaby, Sophia, Stefani, Valerie, and her brothers, Alex, and Felipe. And also those whom she graciously encountered.
The memorial service of Mariel Barrera-Iturburo will be held on Friday, January 27th, 2017. To begin at 3 o'clock in the afternoon at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in Houston, TX.
