Mario Alberto Acosta

Mario Alberto Acosta, a loving son, brother, uncle, godfather, and a friend was born March 28, 1990, in Galveston, Texas to Jose Mario Acosta and Nicolasa Benavides, he passed away on June 4, 2024. He fought a hard battle against cancer, but he was always in such high spirits throughout his brief illness. He was such a talker and would strike a conversation with all the hospital staff. He was a man of many words and always wanted the best for his mami, su hermana, brothers and his nephews especially his dog, Queso.

He is survived by his mother, Nicolasa Benavides, father, Jose Mario Acosta. His sister, Adriana Deleon (Ricardo Carrizales), brothers, Edgar Deleon and Marco Acosta. His godson and nephew, Gabriel Velazquez. His nephews, Luis Velazquez and Edgar Deleon, Jr. and nieces, Melissa and Alexandria Deleon. His baby, his dog Queso.

Mario is preceded in death by older brother, Gerardo Deleon.

A Memorial Service for Mario will be held Friday, June 14, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 Broadway St. Houston, Texas 77087. A chapel service by Deacon Celestino Perez will be from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
