

She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings, Ruth and Don.
Marjorie graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School, where she was known as a dedicated student, a trusted friend, and an active participant in extracurricular activities. Throughout her life, she exemplified steadfast faith, a deep care for others, and a remarkable ability to build and sustain meaningful friendships.
She married Eugene Paul Gugel, and together they created a loving and enduring family. They adopted two children, Beth and Matt, and Marjorie remained deeply devoted to her family, cherishing time spent together and maintaining close relationships with loved ones throughout her life.
A woman of deep faith and joyful spirit, Marjorie found great happiness in music. She loved to sing—in her church choir, with her family while preparing a meal, and at home—bringing warmth and joy to everyday moments. She was also an accomplished and generous knitter, creating countless blankets and garments that she lovingly gifted to family and friends.
Marjorie embraced a wide range of interests and hobbies. She enjoyed playing bridge with friends and neighbors, solving crossword puzzles, participating in water aerobics, baking, crafting, and reading. She had a special love for musical theater and delighted in traveling, carefully journaling her experiences as she explored destinations across the country and around the world.
Service to others was central to Marjorie’s life. She generously gave her time to church outreach efforts, including Meals on Wheels, church activities, and Northwest Assistance Ministries. Her church, Resurrection Lutheran, was a cornerstone of her life—a place where she and her husband, Gene, nurtured their faith and formed lasting friendships.
Marjorie will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend—intelligent, quick-witted, kind, and full of humor. Her strong faith and unwavering convictions were a source of inspiration to her husband Gene; her children, Beth and Matt; her granddaughters, Colleen, Cheyenne, and Kaitlyn; and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be deeply missed, and her legacy of faith, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
