Born on December 5, 1960 in Houston, Texas, Mark exemplified the true meaning of family. He had an unparalleled capacity for giving and always put the needs of others before his own.
Throughout his life, he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his responsibilities, but it was his devotion to his role as his mother’s caregiver that most clearly defined him as extraordinary. Mark also embraced a lifelong spiritual journey of faith, devotion, and worship, regularly attending the Assumption Catholic Church.
Mark showed an interest in science and education at an early age and enjoyed playing the trombone in the band during his high school years. After graduating from the University of Houston with a degree in biology, Mark worked at Target Corporation and taught classes for the Houston Independent School District.
