Today is bitter sweet for me. My brother-in-law, who is more like a brother. Mark Harrison Cherry, Sr. will be laid to rest. I know as a Christian man that he is in Heaven with his heavenly Father. I feel bad because when we first met we were inseparable, but after time we did less and less together. I was thinking today of the things we did together. We were always doing something remodeling houses, working at our in-laws, going fishing and going sightseeing around Texas. He taught me how to drive a truck with a standard transmission. I had gotten shocked by electricity so I feared it. Mark taught me how to work with it, and to get through my fears. Through happy moments and sad ones we were together.
We were together when our children were born except for Lance because I was in the Army. And when Lance passed away, I hurt with him for his loss. He went to Illinois with my dad and I to get my brothers stuff after his divorce. When the grandchildren came along we celebrated. He was there for me when my Dad passed away. We were there for each other when Dorothy our Mother-in-law passed away. When Sherrie' my first wife passed away he was there, did what he could to help the family. When his Father passed away, I was there to help when and where I could. When his mother passed away again I longed to help him.
I regret that as time went on we didn't run around together as much. We saw each other on Holidays.
Then when he got sick I was afraid that I would give him an illness. Sad I know, how I let things separate us. 
But I praise God that Mark is healed now, no more sickness, no more pain. Yes we will mourn, we will smile and cry because of the memories. So I have to say, I lost my-brother-in, my brother, my best friend when he passed away. Now I long to meet up with him again in Glory. I truely love you Mark, I will sorely miss you.

Mark was a good man. I had the privilege to work along side him the last several years. My deepest and sincerest condolences go out to his family, along with prayers of strength and comfort from the Lord during this time.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences for your loss. Your Dad was an incredible father, husband  and grandfather for all of your family. He will be greatly missed. His memory will live on through each of you and the joy you share about his life.  Sending prayers.

So Sorry to hear of your lost , I remember Mark in My Air Conditioning Class in High School at MacArthur , he was a kind person , a quiet person , but he and I were good Friends , you just liked being around him .  Enjoy Heaven My friend , We will see you again someday !  AMEN!

I am so sorry Lynette.  It saddens me that Mark is gone home.  As kids he would ride his bike to my house  so we could hang out.  He was a great guy.  My prayers are for peace and comfort.  Hugs 

Lynn this is Jan I am very sorry to hear about mark my thoughts and prayers go out to u and the family 

Uncle Mark i have so many memories of you, but you teaching me to ride a bike will always stick with me. Even after me steering into a water filled ditch you told me to get back up and try again.  I rode that bike all the way to your house after we checked the mail.  

To the family, so sorry for your loss, prayers, we went to school and church together (Freeway Forest Baptist), may God give you the peace and comfort you need to get through this time❤

I’ll never forget the camping trip we took as kids! I had never seen someone use a fish head as a puppet but there he stood moving the fishes mouth singing “I ain’t got no body, and nobodies got me”. He knew how to make people laugh!!! My heart goes out to the family!
