Mark Lechale Norris

Mark “Mello” Norris I gained his wings at the age of 51 years old. Mark was born at Orleans Community Health Medina Memorial Hospital in Medina New York on September 15, 1973, to Jesse Pearl Norris and Charles Norris Sr. Not too long after his birth, Charles and Pearl decided to move their family to Sanford, North Carolina where he grew up on Birch St and attended Lee County Schools. Mello discovered his love for clippers at Reives Barber Shop on Washington Ave in Sanford, North Carolina. February 1996, he moved to Houston, TX for a fresh start. In 1999 he fell in love with a woman by the name of Dawn Duke Norris and married her on March 7, 2008. Mark completed Texas Barber College in April 2011 where he fulfilled his dream in receiving his barber license, and 3 months later began his career at Prestige Barber Studio, which has been his home for fresh cuts and line ups the last 14 years. To know Mark “MELLO” was to know he was very family oriented. He had a love for his children that was unmatched but the love for his grandkids was unconditional. He went by many names but “paw paw “was his favorite.

Mark “Mello” Norris I departed this life on May 1,2025 and he was preceded in death by, his mother Pearl Norris, his brother Thomas Adams, sister Patricia Norris Terry, his brother Brandon LaVon Norris, and his brother Charles Norris Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Dawn duke Norris, his children Shaniqua Cameron, Timothy Fox, Andromida Norris Smith (Deandre), Leticia Williams Claiborne (Lenny), Aiereona Norris, Mark Norris II, Daniel Norris, and Jasmine Norris, and his siblings Charles Adams, Debra McMillian, Edmond” Pete” Norris, Charles Shaw, Charee Norris-Stanley, and Chad Norris. His grandchildren Londynn Joseph, Dre’Mon Joseph II, Chayce Fox, Laila Claiborne, Marielle Norris, Taylor Randle, Chi’yah Fox, Willie Whitehead II, D’Manii Smith, Cam’ryn Fox and his two God sons Brandon Norris II and Markell Norris and a host of aunts and uncles, alongside nieces and nephews.
