

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Maria; three children Christopher, Eric and Jason; mother Edna Loyce; granddaughter Hanna; in-laws Medardo and Nelva Martinez; 8 brothers and sisters in law; 13 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Marcus and his brother Donald.
Mark held a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State (Go Bulldogs!) and worked the last 14 years for BHP Billiton.
Mark was a devoted Christian man, dedicated to his family. He loved sports and participated with all his kids’ teams including building a baseball field in his backyard where many teams enjoyed the sport. He loved music especially rock and roll where he would always play his air guitar, and later “evolved” to latin salsa and merengue. He will be remembered for his annual Easter gatherings hosted for family and friends, where everyone always felt like they were part of his own family. Mark was a special human being who always opened his home to all.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, in Houston, at 6pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Laurence Catholic Church, in Sugar Land, at 10am with burial immediately following at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
