MarQuell Ahmad Dale, age 22, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 in Bellevue, Nebraska. MarQuell was born in Crestview, Florida at Okaloosa Medical Center. He later moved to Texas and attended Royal High School in Brookshire where he was a star athlete for the basketball team. Math was his favorite subject and he was real good with numbers. MarQuell could always be found on his PlayStation 4, playing 2K with his friends. Basketball gave him life and kept him moving on the court. He could spend all night on the court, at least until his "NukNuk" called for him to come in the house. He traveled with AAU basketball teams and was known for his jump-shot. He loved talking "trash" on the court and made you defend his play.
After graduation, MarQuell pursued a career as Airman First Class in the 55th Logistics Readiness Squadron - OFFUTT Air Force Base in Nebraska. He served as an Inbound Cargo Technician and received several notable awards: AF Training Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism & Meritorious Unit Award.
MarQuell had an infectious personality and could make anyone laugh, as the jokester of the family. His gorgeous smile would melt the hardest heart. His smile was contagious and he shared it freely. He was a very polite young man, respected his elders and always responded, "Yes, ma'am". His friends knew him as "Corlii" and will always remember how he loved to roast them.
His memories will forever be cherished by his mother, Latica Harrison; father, Grear Dale, III; grandparents: Hazel Hendrix Westbrooks & Claudia Dale; siblings: Mario Brown, Jr., Demorrion, Danika & Shalena Dale; aunts & uncles: Janean & Timmy Baker, Ruby & Charles Whigum, Steve & Desma Dale, Earl Dale & Terry Dale; a host of cousins and too many friends to name, but you know who you are. He is preceded in death by his uncle, Joseph Kuprin Hendrix.
Special thanks to his Aunt Weida M. Hendrix for her unyielding support, Jaleeha Durham for escorting him during his flight home from Nebraska and his first cousin, Cameron Davis, for going above & beyond, arranging a balloon release in memory of MarQuell. Your kindness means more than words can express.
