After graduation, she accepted a job at Prudential Insurance Company in Houston and enjoyed life as a single young woman before marrying Donald Davis on September 8, 1956. She subsequently gave birth to six sons over an eight-year period (1957-1964), raising four boys in the family’s north Houston home except for a two-year period in Conroe. In 1977, she began working at Texas Commerce Bank, where she was employed for 15 years before her retirement. In 2001, the family home experienced significant flooding during Tropical Storm Allison, and she and her husband subsequently moved to a new home closer to her two sons residing in Houston.
The family would like to thank the staff at K&D Health for the loving care provided to Martha during her final years.
