

Mary Alice Burmeister of Spring, Texas graduated to heaven Tuesday, December 10, 2019. She was born in Thornton, Texas on March 31, 1934. Mary met and married the love of her life Donald Milton Burmeister at age 17; married soon after she graduated from Edna High School. She and Don had four beautiful daughters: Lisa, Suzanne, Beverly, and Ava. She had a long career in the oil and gas industry as an executive assistant for Texaco and Star Enterprises. Mary had a passion for photography and was an accomplished artist. Left to cherish her memories are: daughter Lisa Warren and husband Stan; daughter Suzanne Hunter and husband Bruce; daughter Beverly Berry; and daughter Ava Bates and husband Ronnie.She is also survived by her beloved oldest sister, Maxine Roberts, as well as, grandchildren: Anjie Jennings, Glen Hunter and wife Tik, Tyler Hunter, Nikki Ott and fiancé Eduardo Verdeza, Ryan Bates, Hannah Straughan and husband Nathan and Emily Berry; great-grandchildren include Chris Jennings, Trey and Brad Hunter, Min and Mon Hunter, and soon-to-be Baby Ava Straughan.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Donald Burmeister, parents Cecil and Milliant Cox, sister Jackie Sauer, brother Donald Cox, and granddaughter Stacy Michelle Hunter. The family wants to thank the following people: Paula Richards, Marilyn Hutchinson, Barbara and Kayla Lopez, her hospice nurse Natalie Penner and the staff of The Pines at Oakhurst where she lived for the past three years. They all showed our Mom incredible love and attention. The family would like to thank everyone for coming today for her celebration of life service.
