In loving memory of Mary Louise who entered into her Heavenly home at the age of 77 with her loving husband Edgar by her side. She is now at peace and though there is sadness at the loss of her presence, there is joy in knowing her destination. She was deeply loved by many and brought great JOY to all who knew her.
Mary Louise was born into the Pulido family as the 4th of 6 children, and graduated from St. Pius X Catholic High School in 1962. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Edgar. Her life’s work and passion revolved around her husband, children, grandchildren, and family. She was a dedicated, active member at St. Rose of Lima church, member of the Altar Guild, attended Bible study regularly and after attending her own ACTS retreat, was a strong supporter of the ACTS initiative. She was instrumental in establishing the parish conference of the St. Vincent dePaul Society. Along with her husband, Edgar, she played a big role in putting on many weekend retreats for Worldwide Marriage Encounter.
If you knew Mary Louise very well, you would know that marrying Edgar, having her children Annette, Eddie, Jennifer and Sean was the highlight of her life. She was dearly cherished by all her children. Later in the years, her grandchildren were the joy of her life and brought her much happiness! Her nieces and nephews called her Aunt LuLu, which fit Mary Louise perfectly, as she loved life to the fullest.
Her love of SPX and Dominican Sisters lived on way past her graduation. She and Edgar attended many SPX Football games, and they both were very active alumni at their alma mater. Years later her 4 children followed in her and Edgar’s footsteps by attending SPX where she served on many committees. Mary Louise’s involvement included parent association, booster club, fundraisers and most of all she looked forward to the yearly bazaars. The love for SPX continued throughout her life as she served on the St. Pius X Foundation Gala Committee and attended the Gala for many years following. SPX and the Dominican Sisters always had a very special place in her heart
She loved playing any kind of games especially Scrabble, cards, bunco, bowling, gambling and travel. Mary Louise was an avid sports fan, especially always looking forward to watching her son, Eddie, coach high school football.
Mary Louise made many friends everywhere she went. She never met a stranger and cherished all the friendships she had made over her lifetime. Loved deeply by all her friends including the many doctors, nurses and caregivers. She was eternally grateful to all who cared for her. The last few years her at home nurses and caregivers became dear to mom. She would constantly share with her family how blessed she was to have them caring for her.
Mary Louise is survived by her husband, Edgar; her daughter Annette Ultis and her husband Mark, their children Cole Dorsett, Carson, and Canon (of Houston); her son Eddie Hancock and his wife Karen (of College Station), and their children Cade, Cailyn, Cambri, and Casey; and her daughter Jennifer Kiel and her husband Ronny (of Tomball), their children Wyatt, Wade, Emma, and Everett, as well as a host of brothers, brother-in-laws, sisters, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Sean Patrick; her parents, Alfred and Annie Pulido; her in-laws, Lightning and Dolly Hancock, all of Houston.

A vigil service will be held Monday, December 6, 2021 at 6:00 PM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman Street, Houston, TX 77018. Friends are invited to visitation with the family be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman Street, Houston, TX 77018. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM, St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman Street, Houston, TX 77018. The rite of committal will occur Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060.
