Mary Messina

She was a loving mother to her two sons, Leonard Messina (Lori) and Frank Messina (Teresa) and a devoted grandmother to her four grandsons, Adam, Derek, Connor and Clayton. She cherished spending time with her family whether it was sharing a meal together or simply enjoying each other’s company.

Mary worked for the Houston Independent School District and retired after more than 20 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Frank Ruffino, her mother, Josephine Ruffino, and her husband Felix Messina, brothers Preston Ruffino, Lee Ruffino, Tony Ruffino, Joe Ruffino, Sam Ruffino, Johnny Ruffino, and sisters, Carrie Mitchell, Pauline Ruffino, Rosie Church, and Sarah Collette,A memorial service will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery in Houston.

Pallbearers are Tony Cangelosi, Jr., Ben Messina, Charles Messina, Robert Lee, Tim Messina and Richard Ruffino. Honorary pall bearers are Sam Messina and Guy Mitchell.

Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 5th , with a rosary at 7:00 pm in the Pecan Venue of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

The funeral service will commence at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 6th , in the Pecan Venue of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with the burial to follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

Mary Messina will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
