Mary Rosales Munoz

Mary Rosales Munoz, 85, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2021 with her family at her side. She was born in Houston, Texas on April 20, 1936 to parents Catalina Quinones and Jacinto Rosales. Mary was a devoted Catholic; a strong belief in prayer and the rosary...if you had a connection to our family, Mary prayed the rosary for you. She was very humorous and a great storyteller. She enjoyed gardening and dancing. Most of all, Mary enjoyed cooking, which was passed on to all of us. Mary cooked with the joy and the love for her family and anyone else who sat at the dinner table. The story of her beautiful life's journey will be told and passed on for generations and generations to come.

Mary is survived by her husband Angel D. Munoz, who has been her life mate for 67 years and two months. Mary's beautiful life will forever be in the hearts of her 10 surviving children: Otila Gonzales and husband Norbert, Angel Munoz, Jr. and wife Santos, Joe E. Munoz, Silverius Garza and husband Alfred, Joseph N. Munoz, Victoria M Flores, Rose Mary Flores and husband Nicholas, Mark A. Munoz and wife Ana Rosa, Jose A. Diaz, Jr. and wife Julie, Angelita D. Ramirez and husband Joel, 27 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Our Mother's spirit lives on. We love you #8.

Family and friends will gather for visitation Friday, July 2, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. The funeral service will be on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Brookside with the burial following in Brookside Memorial Park.
