Maureen K Groves

Maureen “Mo” Groves born July 14, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio, returned to her heavenly home after a valiant battle with cancer on January 4, 2016. Her devotion to her family and personal relationship with God gave her an insurmountable amount of strength and peace during this time of struggle.

Mo is survived by her loving husband Keith Groves, children, Trevor Groves and Haley Goynes, son-in-law Nicolas Goynes, grandchildren, Layne and Lyla Goynes, as well as her mother Sandra Smith, brothers, Tom, Rocky and Bobby Smith and preceded in death by her father Thomas Smith.

Lovingly referred to as “the dog lady”, she loved and cared for them as if they were her own children and their love for her was returned a thousand times over. Her selfless nature made her the most kind, loving and giving person; always there for anyone who needed a beautiful smile and a kind word.

Her favorite times were spent in the family cabin in Colorado; tubing down the Frio River and numerous camping trips with loved ones. She also enjoyed spending time in artistic endeavors with the ability to take an ordinary object and turn it into something magical. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she has touched but all should take solace knowing that she is the arms of our Lord and Savior.
