Maurene graduated from Sam Houston High School. She met Jimmy at her best friend Wanda’s house and married August 17, 1968. Maurene had a career as a Secretary at Texaco for 5 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen Graves Campbell and Vivian Marcene Campbell.
Maurene is survived by her husband, Jimmy Brinkley; daughter, Gina Drda (Jeff Drda); son, Monty Brinkley; grandchildren, Tanner Drda, and Riley Drda; sister, Rhonda Webb (Bill Webb); along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Jeff Drda, Tanner Drda, Bill Webb, Kyle Webb, Mike Segall and Troy Peterson.
A visitation for Maurene will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral services will occur Friday, January 3, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A graveside will occur Friday, January 3, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
Maurene will be laid to rest in Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
