

She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age while attending St. Luke’s AME Church in Huntsville, TX. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church family in Houston, TX attending until her health failed.
Melody’s early education began in the Huntsville Independent School District, and after relocating to Houston, TX attended schools in Houston Independent School District graduating from Kashmere Sr. High School.
She married Dwayne Fowler on June 23, 1996.
Melody was employed with various companies including AMOCO prior to her employment with METRO. She was a faithful employee of METRO where she worked until her early retirement.
Melody was an avid gardener and loved growing roses. She loved children and demonstrated her love for children serving as a foster parent for many years. She enjoyed being with family and often traveled on vacations with her aunt, uncles and cousins. A lover of music, she knew the words to most any song you could name. She was probably the biggest fan the Temptations ever had at least here in Texas.
Melody is preceded in death by her father (adopted), Claude Rattler; grandparents, Robert and Jessie Franklin; great grandparents, two brothers, David Mosley, Jr.; and Lopez Ratcliff. She leaves to cherish her memories, her father, David Mosley, Sr.(Indiana); mother, Allie Mae Rattler; one daughter, Krystl Rattler; God-daughter, Johnnisha Smith; one granddaughter, Kayla Goldsby; three sisters, Priscilla Ratcliff; Frances Harris (Michael); Lecia Taylor (Earnest); two brothers, Donald Mosley (Sylvia);Terry Mosley (Debra) and a host of treasured nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
