Melva Denise Jones

Melva Denise Jones. Known by some as “Wiggy”, and to others, as a God-Send.

She was welcomed into the world on August 27th, 1973 and was called Home on February 15th, 2023, at the age of 49 years old.

Born and raised in Texas, with roots running deep into Louisiana and Native American heritage, Melva was brought up with a love for God that was only matched by her love for all His children.

Melva had an affinity to Fine Arts, with a background in Choir, Dance, and Visual Arts, especially painting and drawing. She used these God-given gifts to testify her Faith and introduce the young to The Living Water, that they may grow fruits of the Spirit, in a world dying of thirst.

Melva is reunited with her loving father, Melvin C. Jones, and her eldest brother, Christopher C. Caesar, among many Kings and Queens of the family also laid to rest. She is survived by her son, Xavier A. McKnight; her daughter, Toni C. Jones; her mother, Beverly A. Jones; and her older brother, Iran Jones; among many friends and relatives that will keep her name alive.

A true “Saint of the South”, Melva is gone...but will NEVER be forgotten!
