April 24, 1957 – January 24, 2024
The Butcher. Iceman. Coach. Brother. Uncle. Son. Dad. All of which, he gave his all to. Mike is survived by his wife of 45 years, Juana Maria Heathcote; son, Mike Heathcote Jr.; his four grandchildren Jimi, Jack, Hallie and Lula Heathcote; brother, Mark Heathcote; sister, Michele McLendon; and many nieces and nephews who he loved. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Heathcote and mother, Elizabeth Heathcote. Mike was born and raised in Houston, Texas while spending some of his adolescence in Gretna, Louisiana. Throughout his life, Mike loved to spend his free time fishing in Galveston with the likes of Ricky, Larry, Mikey, Crow and Evan. Another pastime of his was shooting pool, with his friend Paul. As a professional, Mike was just that, a professional. He was the best ice carver in town and the best butcher you will ever know. Later in life, he was able to achieve a long-time dream of his and own a Harley Davidson. He enjoyed riding to Bellville for a Trump Burger and riding with his friend, Dale. Mike was not a man of patience, bless all of you who dared to partake in these endeavors alongside him. He loved each of you dearly.
Family & friends are invited to attend his memorial service at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, on Saturday, February 17th, from 10am until 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to give plants that can be given to family members.
