Affectionately known as "Mike" graduated from Frontenac High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology from Pittsburg State University. He met the love of his life, Irene, at a car dealership in Brownsville, Texas, and the two were married in 1987.
Mike worked for General Motors for 14 years before launching his own business, an endeavor that allowed him to provide for his family while living out his values of faith, integrity, and hard work. Though he never served in the military, Mike had a deep love for his country and a profound respect for those who did. His purpose in life was rooted in his faith in God, his love for his wife and children, and building a home filled with meaning. Mike quietly shared the gospel with his employees, customers, and friends; planting seeds of hope and encouragement in his own unassuming way. You won’t find a long list of clubs or professional affiliations in this obituary—not because he lacked ambition, but because his priorities were clear. His time and energy were devoted to the things that mattered most: his God, his wife, his children, and the life they built together.
Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Allen D. Stotts; his mother, Alberta A. Stotts; his father, Kenneth N. Stotts; and his beloved daughter, Lisa Raquel Stotts.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Irene Castillo Stotts; daughter, Loren Cockrum (Anthony); son, Eric Stotts; brother, Kenneth Stotts Jr.; sister, Mari Titmus (Scott); brother, Jeff Stotts (BB); and grandchildren, Jade, Jax, and Mylah. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and dear friends who will carry his memory with love.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Village Green Memory Care of Kingwood and Bayou City Hospice for their utmost compassionate care and support.
A celebration of life for Michael will be held Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 4:00 PM at United City Church, 19901 Townsen Blvd, Humble, TX 77338.
