Miguel Manuel Aguirre

Born in Corpus Christi, Miguel was a proud graduate of Moody High School. After graduation, he answered the call to serve his country in the United States Air Force, where he forged lifelong values of discipline, honor, and commitment.

Miguel was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, Joe A. Aguirre, Jr., and Carrie Aguirre; his beloved son, Jeffrey Michael Aguirre; his brother, Luis Aguirre, Sr.; and his nephew, Matthew Hale.

He leaves behind a devoted and large family who will forever cherish his memory: his wife, Maria (Lupe); his children, Anna Gonzales, Marissa Carson, and Shawney Carson (Chris Kalis), his stepchildren - Mario Dominguez, Claudia, Ortiz, Fernando and Gerardo Dominguez his grandchildren, Bethany and Joey Gonzales, Brenna Aguirre, Aubrey Spivey, Julius Kalis, Arturo, Alexander, Alia, and April Ortiz, Adriel Dominguez and his great-granddaughter, Adriana Gonzales.

Miguel is also survived by his brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends who will remember him as a man of faith, strength, humor, love, and passion for music and lottery tickets. Before Miguel got sick, he enjoyed dancing to Tejano, Reggaeton, and Cumbias with his loving wife.

A visitation will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home, located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038, on September 24, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:15 am.

The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Miguel will follow at the same location from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm. A committal service will take place at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to his nurses, Gentiva Hospice Care, and his very special caretakers, Milagros Sanchez and Martha Machado.

Miguel’s life was one of devotion to family and service to his community and country. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
