Michael Francis Little, known to all as Mike, Dad, Papa and Miguel was born on June 1, 1942 and passed into the arms of Jesus on July 5, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. He was the second of 11 children born to Muriel and George Little and was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Martha Wagner Little and his son, Sean Michael Little.
Mike served in the event rental industry for over 50 years through his business, A Finer Event. He was known as a loyal friend, an understanding and motivating mentor and a servant leader who went out of his way to help many, no matter what their need may be.
Mike had a love for Jesus that was deep and wide, influencing his walk in life as he continually looked for God’s direction and loved as Jesus loves, unconditionally. He placed great value on his family, his friends, employees he considered family and business associates through the event rental industry. Mike was known as having the gifts of encouragement, service and complete acceptance of others who crossed his path.
Mike would do just about anything for a spicy cup of gumbo with extra shrimp, a single malt Scotch or a fine wine, especially when shared with others. He was widely known for his corny dad jokes and listening ear.
Mike is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ann, his children and their spouses, Tracy Little, Katie Krieger (Darin), Sarah Graham and Jeremy Little (Melanie). He treasured his grandkids Morgan LaCelle (Ray), Hayden Dobbs (Kenzie), Noah Krieger, Devin Graham, Joshijah Little, Hosanna Little, Sophia Krieger, Gabe Graham, Micah Little, and Bella Krieger. That love just increased with the great grands, Asher and Carter LaCelle and Troy and Sawyer Dobbs. Mike was greatly loved and is already so very missed. Our lives will never be the same without him but his legacy will continue on, following his example of following hard after Jesus and lovingly serving others with all our hearts.
Please dress casually as Mike has always been the kind of guy who loves to make sure everyone is comfortable!
If you would like to contribute financially in lieu of flowers please direct donations to East Spring Branch Food Bank where Mike found great joy in volunteering.
