Mitchell was sent to the Emergency Room at Texas Children's Hospital on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014. After 40 hours of treatment at the Emergency Room and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Mitchell became an angel.
All his doctors suspected Mitchell might have leukemia when he was admitted to the hospital, but it was ruled out after his bone marrow test results the next day. A few hours after the doctors thought Mitchell was safe and steady, he passed away. His doctors did not understand why it happened in such a sudden way. Although the doctors said there might be something wrong with his immune system, they are not sure what the exact cause of his sickness is.
He was one of three children of Gang ''Scott" Yao and Dongmei Chu. Mitchell will always be at the heart of Mom and Dad, Melissa and Melinda who adore him very much. He will also be missed by his grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins, along with countless friends that love him.
Mitchell was born at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital and raised in Sugar Land, Texas. He attended pre-k at Colony Meadows Elementary and Creative Learning Academy.
Mitchell loved Curious George, Batman, Legos, race cars and puzzles. His favorite color was sky blue and green. Mitchell's favorite sport was soccer. Mitchell loved singing and dancing, and his dream was to become a rock star when he grew up. Mitchell touched the lives of many people with his smiles. He was very well organized and was always willing to help others to his best capacity.
