

Mollie Woods Lilly, 59 passed away in her Houston, Texas home on August 8, 2012. She now resides in her heavenly home as one of the newest Guardian Angels. She was born on December 31, 1952 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and re-located to Houston, Texas in February 2011. She is the only daughter of the late Mr. Simon Woods Sr. and Mrs. Lucille Cunningham Woods.
Mollie, having grown up in Lake Charles, LA with three brothers Simon J. Woods, Mack V. Woods and Eddie J. Woods, developed a heart of gold that she shared with everyone she met. Her family meant everything to her. Mollie married the love of her life, Joseph F. Lilly Sr. and their love shown was a beacon to others. Two beautiful daughters, Joyce M. Fontenot and Karen A. (Lilly) Means are proud to call her Mother. Mollie has one step-son, Joseph F. Lilly Jr. of Tennessee and is the proud grandmother of 5 grandsons, 5 step-grandsons and 1 step-granddaughter. She also has 2 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
Our mother was simply wonderful and had such a beautiful soul. She taught us all the meaning of unconditional love and she will be sorely missed.
Survivors include her Husband, Mr. Joseph Felton Lilly Sr., Daughters: Joyce M. Fontenot & Karen A. (Lilly) Means and her husband Harry Means Jr. of Houston, TX. Brothers: Simon J. Woods and wife Martha Woods of Tennessee, Mack V. Woods of Lake Charles, LA. and Eddie J. Woods of Houston, TX. One Step-Son, Joseph F. Lilly Jr. and wife Janet Lilly. Grandsons: Eric Fontenot, Brandon Fontenot, David Fontenot, Jerald Fontenot and Wesley Fontenot. Step-Grandchildren: Kamree Means, Jamaal Lilly, Janae’ (Lilly) Jones, Javonte’ Lilly, Jaylan Lilly and Joseph Lilly III. Great-Grandsons: Jaylen Muse and Decorri Green. Step-Great-Grandchildren: Jayden Adams, Kameron Lilly and Chloe Lilly. Aunts: Jonita Chavis and family, Betty Gardiner and family, Ann McZeal and family. And a host of family and friends.
