Monique Aline Wuensch

Monique Aline Wuensch passed away on February 13, 2016. She is survived by her daughter Gertrude Wuensch, sons Stephen Wuensch and Peter and Olivia Wuensch and their children Hallie and Andrew. Her siblings, Evelyn, Henry and Kate. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Wuensch, and siblings Mabel, Lina, Albert, Alice, Stella, Rita, Edgard, Madeline, Patrick and BeBe.

Monique’s greatest love was spending time with her family, but was also an avid reader and enjoyed volunteer work throughout her life. She had a strong faith and could be found doing Adoration every Tuesday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Monique received a degree in nursing at Hotel Dieu De Levis, in Canada. After moving to Houston with her husband, she spent her career at Memorial City Hospital as an OB/GYN Nurse. While there, she received the distinguished award of Nurse of the Year.

After retiring, Monique kept busy volunteering as a nurse in local clinics and the East Spring Branch Food Pantry, as well as Caring Friends at her Brookdale residence. Her tireless spirit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
