On July 24, 1951, a bouncing baby boy (Oliver Lewis Jr.) was born to the late Oliver Lewis Sr. and the late Annie B. Braxton in Natchitoches, LA. At an early age Oliver moved to Houston, TX with his grandmother the late Annie Pearl Lee and her husband. He attended school at Nat Q. Henderson Elementary, E.O. Smith Junior High, and Phyllis Wheatley Senior High. He worked for Thornhill Steel Company for many years, and later was self employed building fences and working for Aram ark part-time. He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age under the leadership of the late Bishop T.C. Perry. He met and married Arlevia Speck in 1980. To this union, no children were born.
